Info Christiane JANSEN-LEJUST

Christiane JANSEN-LEJUST is native from Paris, but because she is married to a Dutchman she is already living for years in the Netherlands.

Since her childhood she showed a natural talent for handskills and creative ability; for years and years this has debouched into a multitude of artistically design.

Nowadays she is master of a lot of technics such as the design of jewelry, sculpture in steatite, painting, creation of fimo-puppets and reliefapplications.

But since a number of years ago she has discovered her true passion, namely the creation of :

fashioned & decorated eggs

Inspirated by the style of Carl Fabergé she realises magnificent works of arts in which she uses all kinds of eggs ( from parakeets up to ostrich ). Starting from a design she makes at first a drawing on the eggshell and next it will be sawed out by using a diamond drill; this is a very accurate task, because there is allways till the last moment the risk of breaking the egg.

The first time she participated in an international exhibition ( the " Salon International de l'oeuf décoré " ) at Tours ( february 2002 ), her work got rewarded instantly. Among a number of 40 exhibitors ( coming from ten countries ) the jury of the Lions Club awarded her the first prize, motivating this choice by the high variety of her creations.

Since then she participates every year in several exhibitions and she was awarded prizes some other times.

Moreover she showed her work during the period from the 29th july till the 30th august 2005 in the " Musée de l'Oeuf décoré et de l'Icône " at Banne (Fr) and she got a lot of attention from the regional press of the Ardêche department.

Also in the future it will be possible to admire her creations at different exhibitions.
